It can be used to measure the drives performance, scan for errors, check the health status. Time Machine has done a few backups on it, but it is the second time I get a message of backup not possible. HD Tune Pro is a hard disk / SSD utility with many functions. I’m not sure it is really remapped, however. It apparently worked, after some ten hours of formatting.
