If you need to use a disabled extension, you can contact the extension’s developer and ask them to upload their extension to the Chrome Web Store. See a list of your extensionsĮxtensions that have not been published on the Chrome Web Store are grayed out and you won't be able to turn them back on. To protect you while you browse, Chrome only lets you use extensions that have been published on the Chrome Web Store.
The extensions that Chrome turned off either didn't come from the Chrome Web Store or were determined unsafe.

No sooner do I write a post about how Google has disabled Chrome Extensions for Mac even though they will work in the latest builds of Chromium (the open-source browser which Chrome is based on), does someone come up with a solution.
